Optional Activity 4A-2: Putting information in the right order

This activity should not take more than 25 minutes of the learners time.

  1. Preparation: Design and type a document that requires events to be placed in a specific order, for example historical dates, a process such as metamorphosis (change), a recipe; or the word order of words in a sentence. Type the items in an incorrect order.
  2. Lesson: Take a group of learners to the word processor and ask them to use cut-and-paste to place the items in the correct order.
  3. Sharing: Send at least two examples of the original activity and the learners' completed answers as an e-mail attachment to your group. Think about how the lesson worked and how it didn't, and include these observations in your e-mail to the group.
  4. Read the e-mail from your group and respond to at least two of the e-mails, especially if  you feel that you can contribute towards solving a problem.
