Assessment
No exams are set in this qualification. All the credits will be gained by submitting a portfolio that fulfills the assessment requirements. This includes:
- the assignments
- online interaction by e-mail with your communities of learning
- you will be placed in groups for each module and allocated an online tutor. Note that this interaction is an important part of the course and it will be your responsibility to keep a record of your e-mail interaction.
- the e-diary
- a reflective journal in which you comment on your thoughts, evaluation of your activities and plans for change.
The student guide will give you full details about your assessment requirements. Tutors will assess your submitted work and this assessment will be moderated externally. You may be visited or interviewed during the assessment process.
In each module your assessment could typically be weighted as follows (with some varitation from module to module):
- E-mail discussion as shown in your e-mail log 10%*
- Personal reflection as presented in your e-diary 10%
- Assignments 80%
*In elective module 11 there is no e-mail discussion, but the reflection counts for 20%. Credits and modules
